PS4 Project Matte

If you're like me then you are sick and tired of your electronics being covered in shiny black plastic. For the last few years manufacturers have decided it is a great idea to cover all of the things we carry in our hands (mp3 players, cell phones, handheld game systems) with scratch prone finger print magnets that lose their "new gadget" luster in no time. This trend has continued into the 8th generation of gaming consoles.
I've always hated the shiny plastic of the PS4 and while on my daily trip down the YouTube rabbit hole I stumbled on a video that seemed to have the answer to my problem.

Using the technique shown in the video I used the green side of this common Scotch dish pad

to turn this......
into this.....
which looks like this when put back on the PS4.

I'm very pleased with the result and want to thank Snazzy Labs for the great video. If you find this post useful and decide to give it a shot I'd love to see what you come up with so please be sure to drop a line with pictures of your results.
